Biography

Charlie was born premature due to placenta abruption starving him of oxygen. His start to life was very touch and go and his suffered two haemorrhages and fluid on his brain as well as contracting meningitis.
The long term effects of this have left Charlie with cerebral palsy, brain damage, blindness and with epilepsy. Complications with his conditions have led to him having bronchitis and pneumonia too and him requiring oxygen 24 hours day for 2 years, which I'm glad to say he's now off.

Charlie has had two operations on both his hips for dislocation. He can no longer eat orally (since 2008) so is fed through tube in his tummy called gastrostomy.

Through all his ordeals and life stopping moments he is a cheeky chap with a naughty sense of humour and a smile throughout, with fight for life that has surprised everyone. He's my hero x
