Biography

The minute Brooke was born the midwife noticed her swollen tummy, she was taken straight Special Care where the day after her birth she was taken to Sheffield Children's Hospital ICU where she had her first op at 4 weeks old, she had 10 inch of her bowel removed and had to have a iostamy bag, she was nil by mouth for 3 months and was hooked up to lots of machines on 22nd Feb (our other daughters birthday)

We got Brooke's result back, not the results we hoped and not the results we expected with having 3 other children, but we have come to terms with it. At 11 weeks old Brooke had her 2nd op to mend her bowel so the bag could be removed: thankfully it worked. At 4 months old Brooke was allowed home for the first time since she was born.

Since coming home Brooke has only had a handful of infections, the worst was Jan 2009 when she got psuedomanas due to this she needed more meds and nebulizer, but again this didn't stop brooke who is a happy, moody, bad tempered, full blown attitude, cheeky, fun-loving little angel xxx
