Briany's Love Quilt has arrived this morning!

The Quilt is truly amazing and beautiful.

Words can't explain how much this means to us; Briany is over the moon and for the first time in ages she is smiling. With her being bed-ridden at the minute she'll get lots of use from the Quilt; it will become her comfort.

I want to Thank all the stitchers who took time doing the hearts and to everyone at Love Quilts UK.

You're all fantastic, caring people, I have so much admiration for all you guys. You're making very ill children Smile and to parents this means a Lot.

Biography

Briany is 9 years old. She lives with her mother and sister Alicia who is 2.
She is a full time wheelchair user and cannot walk nor talk.
From the age of 1 month old she was diagnosed with severe life limiting Cerebral Palsy.

Currently she is recovering from two major operations; she has had full hip reconstruction to her left and right side; The first lot of surgery took almost 9 hours as she had a lot of complications; she didn't come round correctly so was on the HDU unit.
Same with her 2nd lot of surgery.

When she is fully better she is looking forward to getting out of bed as it's almost approaching 3 months now and she have broom tick casts on which hurt a little.
She likes going to school and she does spend a lot of time in her bed as she doesn't really like going out into general society as it's too noisy for her. :(

She cant wait to get a quilt as it will keep her warm - it'll be something she can take to hospital with her and cherish forever <3

Her best friend is her mother and her two year old sister as they look after her, we are the only family she has got. She loves them both so much xx
