Thank youTo everyone at LQUK,
I've loved following the progress of Zaks quilt, getting to know some amazing people, and getting to be a part of something so wonderful. The excitement of seeing Zaks quilt arrive this morning can only be compared to a child on Christmas Eve. The amount of effort and love that has gone into each and every square is so lovely, making Zaks quilt a treasure to cherish for always. We'll never forget this day! Thank you all, for bring such joy to ours and so many others' lives. Mags, Zaks Mum x

BiographyZak suffered brain injury during a mismanaged delivery. He was resuscitated at birth, and put into a drug induced coma to stop seizures. He came home after one month, but it was quite clear all was not well.
At 4 months he had a firm diagnosis of spastic quad cerebral palsy. By 8 months he developed West Syndrome, causing hundreds of daily seizures and regression in his development. We have never gained seizure control, and by 18 months he developed LGS.
He's been tube fed since he was a year old, and we recently found he has silent aspiration. He has never learned to smile or hold up his head, and has no cognitive understanding that we know of. At 6 and a half, Zaks developmental level is that of a child less than 3 months old.
He goes to School and is a very content little boy. He goes to Derian house Children
