Thank you to every single one of you that has given precious time and put so much effort into making each small part of his quilt, and to Sue for putting it together and delivering it.

He was very excited to find a Mickey Mouse, Mufasa and Simba and a Cars square.

Once again thank you to everyone involved in such a beautiful gift.

Biography

Nathan was born with hydrocephalus was first shunted at 4 weeks of age, and had a dozen shunt revisions before the age of 7, 6 of which happened in the space of 6 weeks, we spent and continue to spend time backwards and forwards to alder hey although as Nathan approaches his 18th birthday, the trauma for him of losing the medical teams we know and trust is beginning.

He has spent many many weeks in hospital since his birth, for recurrent chest and breathing problems, he now requires nocturnal oxygen.

He's had peritonitis and was critically ill some years ago, but his future is no means certain, we were told only two weeks ago, Nathan cannot have anymore corrective orthopaedic surgery as it's unlikely he'd survive, the risks are just to high now.
