Thank you to each and every stitcher and quilter involved with this beautiful quilt which will be treasured for ever. I can't convey to you just how much this means to him and how touched we all are. Doctor Who is his passion and getting lost in the series has helped him to cope with 6 years of chemotherapy. Ethan has had chemo today and boy what a special treat to arrive home to to cheer him up!!! Love and thanks Ethan & family xxxxx | ||||||||||||

BiographyEthan first presented with symptoms of a brain tumour at age 5 in 2008. He suffered headaches, sickness and his eyesight deteriorated. After months of GP visits and ophthalmology appointments we were referred to Royal Manchester Children's hospital who saw the tumour had put pressure on his optic nerves as they were pale. We were refered for an MRI scan that revealed he had a brain tumour which devastated our family. Ethan endured 18 months of gruelling chemotherapy which shrank the tumour. Ethan remained stable for 12 months until he relapsed in August 2011 and had to have another 12 months on a different chemotherapy. Again almost 12 months to the day after he finished treatment he relapsed in August 2013 when the tumour began to grow again. My brave man is now 14 weeks onto another 70 week chemotherapy protocol. Ethan is extremely brave and an utter joy to be around. We all love him dearly. He's a real fighter and we are so proud of him. Always wears a smile x |
