Kayley's Quilt has arrived & it's absolutley beautiful; I wish I had on tape when she saw it for the first time.

I laid it out on the floor & she was pointing out all the flowers & butterflies, she particularly loves Bear in the Big Blue House holding the flower as she has been besotted with him since a baby.

Thank you to everyone involved in putting this together, we really appreciate it & it is a gift that Kayley will use forever.

Biography

Kayley was born on 31st December 2004 following a normal pregnancy and we knew straight away that she had been born with Down syndrome. It was a shock in the beginning but we knew that we loved her and would take her home and bring her up with her three brothers and just take each day as it came.

we then discovered that she had two holes in her heart and would require surgery,this was performed when she was 4 months old at Yorkhill Childrens hospital. She had a hard time recovering but she is a tough one and since she came home from hospital, life with Kayley has been fantastic. She is very loving, funny, capable and fiercly independent.

Kayley attends a local private nursery and will start mainstream nusrsery in August 2008.

we know that there will be many hurdles to overcome in the future but so far we have managed to get over every single one.

We can't imagine life without Kayley and can't remember what life was like before she came into our family.We love everything about her especially her extra chromosome :-)
