Thank youHarveys quilt turned up this morning at around 9.30am, it took me until 7pm to open it! It's hard to explain how I was feeling.. I was excited to see it yet emotional Harvey will not get to use it or see it for himself. I know he would have loved it.
Thank you to all who took the time and effort to make the quilt, we can see the dedication and love that has been put into it. I am so very appreciative that this quilt was still stitched for us as a memorial of my beautiful boy Harvey. This quilt will be well looked after and is joining us on our trip to Disneyland next week along side a picture we have framed of our beautiful boy Harvey.
Thank you once again xxxxxx

BiographyHarvey is yet to be diagnosed but whatever his Underlying condition has let to intestinal failure, liver failure, and is TPN dependant (total parentral nutrition, fed into his heart via drip), he also has sever global developmental delay, haemolytic anaemia, hypoglycaemia, reflux, macrocephaly, abdominal distension, recurrent chest infections, recurrent urine infections and chronic pain.
From birth Harvey suffered with chest infections spending lots of time hospitalised with them. Throughout the years other problems came into it which are listed above. He was on a ventilator at 4 months old with double pneumonia. At 18months was almost lost him due to a rare blood disorder which he still carries the antibodies for this in his body. His stomach then stopped working at the age of 2 which led him to be fed into his jejunum. He was stable for 2 years but then deteriorated in November 2011 which then hospitalised him in April 2012 where he stayed for a 16 month stretch. He had roughy time, quite a few operations, infections and bowel obstructions. We were no longer able to feed him into his jejunum so that's when he had to be fed directly to his heart. We got him home for 7 months in July 2013 but then has been back in hospital since February 2014 with urine infections, thick mucus filling his lungs and also liver problems.
Sadly, Harvey passed away in late October/early November 2014. His quilt will be still be made up as a memorial at the request of his family
