Biography

When Katey was born she was perfect in every way! Such a beautiful baby, she developed well, millstones a little late until about a year old, small myoclonics seizures started and happened daily! They weren';t diagnosed as seizures til she was 2, her development slowed down, she is severely developmentally delayed an severely speech delayed, she inherited her chromosome disorder from her father and we assume this is the cause of her epilepsy which has just progressed over the years, she has now had pretty much all types of seizures, they are forever changing the worst being her drop attacks, she has suffered numerous horrific injuries from these. She rarely gets seizure free days and has suffered up to 40 a day! She is on 4 different anti-convulsants and is starting the ketogenic diet in January. She has a fantastic personality, understands well and fights hard :)
