Thank you

Well William opened it and it's absolutely fab. He's now glued to it and we are all over the moon thank you so much to everybody that contributed. William really relies on soft blankets as a comforter when he's frustrated and upset particularly at night with his muscle spasms so this means the world to him.

Biography

william ws born just over 2 months premature, after a very traumatic pregancy by emergancy c-section. he was not breathing and was resusitated.
He was dignosed with cerbral palsy at just over 9 months. We were told he probably wouldnt walk till he was around 6 and maybe not potty train till later..with us doing intense daily physioand hydrotherapy and his determination he has proved them wrong
He has delayed growth and limited mobility- he can walk but struggles long distant, falls over and has very poor balance, he can not stand flat footed.
His right side is effected more than his left.
He had started to get bone movement, especially in his right hip which will need surgey at some point in the near future if it keeps on moving. Bottox has been used to try and increase musclse spasisaty and delay surgey.
William suffers with severe tierdness and muscle pain and spasams which at night can be agnosing for him (he will scream throw himself at things it gets that bad), he is on medication to control them but it doesnt take them away completely.
He is also under dietican because is struggling to grow and uses so much energy to move, so is on strict diet with extra drinks etc to boost him
He gets extremly frustrated and because of this he can get quite angry and upste and when he has a bad episode it can take a few hours to calm him
He is dispite all this a lovely little boy who loves to learn and be outside and play with his friends, he is warm extremly loving and kind.Although like every 6 year old doesnt listen or like to tidy his room!
He will try anything even if he fails because of his condition he never lets it stand in his way and will always try again.
The last 6 years with william have been hard, although they have taught us a lot and he has taught us a lot, we apprecite things/life so much more and it has opend us into a world where we have met some wonderfull people and children
He adores his two younger brothers
and despite his condition and all the problems that come with it, (arguying for support, equipment, etc..) We wouldnt change him for the world.
This quilt will mean so much to him and give him so much comfort when his pain is bad, he gets frustrated and has hopsital.Thankyou
