Biography

When Amy was born. I knew something was wrong. She was never full, being sick and constant diarroheoa all the time. It was a very stressful time leading up to her diagnosis. Then the day came when the CF nurse and the health visitor came to tell us that Amy had cystic fibrosis. Then I thought my life was over and it all began with all her daily treatment. Amy takes over 39 pills a day. She has physio twice a day as well as having to stay in hospital going threw crucial treatment to fight of horrible infections in her lungs.

When Amy was 2 she caught a bad infection called pseudomonas aeruginosa in her lungs. It took 2 years to clear up with extra hour and a half a day on top of the rest of her treatment. She's has also had 2 glucose test as she is on the border line. She has been through 2 bronchoscopies and IVs. Every day is a struggle but we will not give up!
