Thank youThank you to all the lovely people who made Evie-Rose's amazing quilt, she loves it, it is out of this world and means so much to us, sadly Evies cancer has returned and we are stuck in hospital but on a happy note I would like to share with you that those who read Evies profile would have read that Evie is our foster baby, well that is all going to change and she is going to become our amazing daughter. Thank you again love Evie-Rose, Claire and Brian.x.
Sadly, Evie-Rose passed away at the end of December 2015 :(

BiographyAt 8 days old Evie-Rose came in our care as a foster baby, at 5 months old Evie-Rose was enjoying her bath as usual when we noticed that the left hand side of her tummy was hard and distended so I took her to hospital expecting to be told that she was constipated or got a little blockage but "NO" our world came crashing down around us when we were told that she had very high blood pressure and the cause of this was cancer, a 10cm wilms tumour was found on her left kidney, we were transferred up to GOSH in London where Evie-Rose had a Hickman line put in and chemo therapy began, sadly the first round of chemo didn't work so instead of shrinking the tumour to make removal easier surgery was brought forward as Evie-Rosie's blood pressure remained to high, surgery took place and the tumour was removed along with her kidney, Evie-Rose then had to have 2 weeks or radio therapy, this took place every day under a G/A, this was then followed up with 28 weeks of chemo which finishes January 2015.
Evie-Rose has been in and out of hospital with illnesses related to the chemo, poor feeding (has a feeding tube now) and blood pressure but she is our little star who has been through so much but has coped so well.
