Thank you hardly seems a fitting appreciation of our gratitude for Charlotte C's fabulous quilt. It was an emotional time for me when she was opening it and tears shed. The hours of work gone into it OMG words can not describe the detail, love and care in making it. We will cherish it forever

Biography

Charlotte was born 2 weeks early, normal pregnancy and no problems during or after birth. In the following months she had very low weight gain and after numerous visits to the GP with what we thought were chesty colds she was sent for a chest xray. She was then found to have pneumonia and admitted to hospital. After more tests and a sweat test we were told the shock news she had Cystic Fibrosis. After a 2 week stay we were allowed home armed with as much information as we could take in at that time.

Charlotte is now 14 years of age, has had numerous stays in hospital for CF related procedures and we as a family continue on a daily basis to try and keep her as healthy as possible with the help of around 50 tablets a day, 2 sessions of physiotherapy and 3 nebulisers. She tries to keep active by swimming for her local swimming club a few times a week and enjoys taking part in full PE at school and afterschool fitness clubs. Charlotte is a quiet girl and never seems to moan about her regime and tries to take it all in her stride.
