Biography

Thomas was born 3and a half months early he wasn';t due till April the 12th but after my pregnancy went wrong he was born at 25*6 weeks he was born weighing 1lb 4ozs he had to be ventilated for four and a half months had steroids to try and help his lungs witch was and still is badly scared had to have 10 blood transfusions they tried to exabait him which failed every time at just under 3 months old he had to have a pda closers then he had to have laser eye treatment or he would of lost his sight at 4 and half months old they finely managered to get him on cpap but due to grade 3 narrow air ways he could,t breath so on may 13th he had a tracheostomy put in witch has helped him alot with out it he would not be here after that he ended up have desats witch turned him grey and sometimes stopped his heart they did tests witch showed he was suffering with bad gas reflux witch he needed a op for it at the same time he had a peg put in it has done loads of good but has stopped him from taking feeds orally he is 1years old but is still in size 6-9 month clothes he Weights 14lb 5ozs he is oxygen dependent and has to have suction all the time he has to have carers when he gets home witch hopefully will be in the next few weeks just got our fingers crossed now he will always be in and out of hospital due to the tracheostomy and he will need reconstruction on his air ways when he is bigger
