Biography

We knew something wasn't right soon after Eric's birth, he found it very difficult to breath and was transferred to the Neonatal Clinic the same day. The found out he had several heart defects, talipes, skeletal malformations, low tone, and several facial feature associated with Noonans. Eric has been a little fighter since then and we were home oxygen free with two weeks. Eric had blood test which confirmed he has Noonan syndrome.

Noonan syndrome is a genetic condition that affects multiple systems in the body and is a life long condition. Eric will need to have his heart monitored frequently. His sight and hearing are also checked regularly as he has problems with both. He has regular physiotherapy, speech therapy and portage. He also has scoliosis which will require surgery shortly.

Despite all of this Eric is a bright and happy boy who always has a smile and a hug for you.
