BiographyOn the 27th of September I welcomed in to the world a beautiful (healthy) baby girl Zoe Grace Chisnall at 7lbs 1oz 43cm long with a head of jet black hair, we came home 4 days later after I struggled to Breast feed, she was a very sleepy baby who didn't feed well and was mostly cold being a first time mum I didn't see the signs, 5 days later I had a feeling that there was something wrong with Zoe even though there wasn't visually anything wrong with her it was in the pit of my stomach I argued with her father about taking her to the hospital because I thought she was going to die but we settled on the gp's when we got there he said Zoe was fine she just aspirated some milk ! I said I wanted a second opinion about it and I wanted to see a paediatrician so he said he would arrange it, he refused to call us an ambulance so I drove her up to the hospital when we got there a nurse that took one look at Zoe took her off me and shouted for help they took her sats and they was 20 while we was still in the room they proceeded to drill into her shins to try and get fluid into her bone marrow we was then ushered out, one and a hour & a half later they moved her to a different room where more people could fit in they said she had septicaemia for four hours they treated her with her heart stopping six times they told me to say goodbye, finally a cardiologist who was doing a once a month clinic there said she had a heart condition after examining her she has an aortic interruption an asd a vsd and pulmonary stenosis they still only gave her 1% chance of survival she was then transferred to Glenfield cardiac unit and waited for open heart surgery which took 14 hours, 12 hours after that she suffered another cardiac arrest it was very nearly fatal if it wasn't for a surgeon next to her cot by fluk manage to get her on ecmo she was on that for three days. We then got the diagnosis of digeorge syndrome, she has defied all odds to get to where she is today she is my hero and always will be she amazes me every day
