Biography

Tegan was born on the 1st Nov. She seemed a normally healthy baby, perhaps a little quiet. Then Christmas 2000 Tigs got poorly, refused feeds and was just very lethargic. The day I will never forget is Boxing Day 2000 she nearly died with hardly any oxygen in her body. She fought back but was left with cerebral palsy, brain damage caused by lack of oxygen. Tegan then fought meningitis and by the time she was 1 year old other symptoms started showing so she has had so many tests brain scans genetic testing, etc.

There were answers we didn't get until Tegan was a lot older - every day is a struggle for her - she is 14 years old but currently functioning at a 7 year old. Even now she continues to have tests done and investigations. As she has got older things have got progressively worse, her mobility is getting worse.
