Biography

Alena was only diagnosed at 4 years of age after 4 years of many doctors telling us that she was fine it wasn't until I refused to leave the surgery that she was sent to the hospital for tests. We then discovered that she had cystic fibrosis but because it had been discovered late it meant that it had also lead to liver disease.

Since then she has been admitted to hospital on numerous occasions and has a daily struggle just to keep her well. She has to do physio twice a day and is also on a nebuliser as well as the 30+ tablets she has to take a day. She is a real inspiration and takes it all in her stride.
