Biography

When Joshua was born he went straight to a foster carer. She soon realized that Joshua wasn't growing even though he was feeding. The heel prick test came back positive for CF. For the first year of his life Joshua was in and out of hospital with chesty coughs and generally unwell. When Joshua was 15 months we were matched with him and we adopted him when he was 20 months.

At first he had a few bouts of chesty coughs and colds but never had to go into hospital. Each time he had 2 or 3 courses of antibiotics and it seemed to sort it out.

On a daily basis Joshua takes creon with his meals so he can digest and retains the right fats. He takes antibiotics, vitamins A and D, vitamins E and vitamins K. He has a nebulizer. Everyday he has to do physio for at least 30 minutes on top of blowing exercises. He is well at the moment and he is a happy sometimes cheeky 6 year old x
