Biography

Jamie was born by emergency c-section after a healthy pregnancy. Although there were no obvious immediate signs of any problems, he struggled to fed and his head circumference was lower than expected. Over the next few weeks his problems became more evident and when he was 8 weeks old he was admitted to the neurological ward at the Evelina childrens hosptial for investigations. A number of his problems were diagnosed at this point.
His first seizure happened when he was 21 months and he was tried on a number of medications before they were reasonably controlled.
Jamie is now 9 and attends a special needs school in maidstone where he is making good progress. He is managing to take some unaided steps and is starting to be able to make choices regarding what he wants to eat/drink/do etc

Despite his difficulties, Jamie is a gorgeous, funny, cheeky little man who loves laughing, playing and being around his family and friends. Jamie's lovely smile and laugh make him very popular and he makes friends very easily.
