Thank you

Ollie is rolling along the quilt trying to feel all the trains on there :o) He loves it thank you all so so much xxx

He loves it...Each time we bring him into the lounge he looks for it as we are currently using it as his therapy quilt so stretches etc whilst he lies on it. He is loving rolling and doing his own stretches when we ask him to point to certain trains. I can't thank you enough xx

Biography

For three years we tried for a family so when we got the news we were expecting twins after our second attempt of fertility treatment we felt like the luckiest parents alive.

Unfortunately the birth didn't go to plan as Ollie had a condition called Vasa Preavia. This meant his umbilical cord ruptured when my waters broke. Ollie was born very poorly, so much so that the hospital staff said he was the sickest baby they had ever cared for. The outlook looked bleak. However after three weeks in intensive care we realised what a fighter we had...Ollie came home at four weeks old, tube fed and with only a year maximum to survive.

Today Ollie is six years old and although he is unable to care for himself in any way he is the happiest, cheekiest and most definitely the cutest six year old miracle I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He has a strong personality, the dirtiest laugh and a very gorgeous face. His smile lights up a room and his flirting is legendary.

Ollie has to put up with a lot...Surgery, replying on others for everything, unable to communicate, living his active life through his twin brother. None of this seems to make Ollie unhappy though. Yes, he has days of pain, spasms, seizures etc but throughout it all there is a huge smile that beams out and makes everything and anything seem possible. He has proved to us that the little things in life are not worth worrying about and that each day is as precious as the last. He is our hero.....
