Biography

Grace was born by emergency c-section due to her heart rate dipping, she was born a happy and healthy baby.

However at 17 days old she developed Strep B Meningitis and Septicemia and ended up fighting for her life in intensive care on a ventilator. We were initially told she wouldn't survive as her body had been through so much and her brain had been badly damaged. She was having 2 hour prolonged seizures. However, as the days went by Grace became stronger and we were able to come home four weeks after going into hospital.

Grace continues to thrive and deals with everything that is thrown at her, last year she has undergone major hip surgery due to her hip becoming dislocated from the Cerebral Palsy. She also has mild sleep apnoea and as a result she has just had her tonsils and adenoids out.
Grace's head control and her sitting balance is improving slowly each day and one day I hope that she is able to sit independently.
