BiographyErin struggled to feed from birth. She would scream all day more or less, and would have constant jerky/twitchy movements. We had her at the doctors every week to be told she was just a grumpy baby and that she had colic and reflux. Finally when she was 8 weeks old a doctor took notice and realised there was more to it. Erin was then admitted to hospital and diagnosed with failure to thrive, west syndrome, microcephaly and gdd. She is now 9 years old and still can't sit up, walk, talk or crawl. She will never meet these milestones. She is also jejunostomy fed. She is now having problems with her lungs which has required picu/hdu admissions, now her upper airways have deteriorated and is now requiring c pap input. Through all this, Erin is a happy wee girl.
