Biography

Alexandra was a late diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, she had many prolapses of the bowel for months previously. After many months of trips back and fore to hospital we finally had a doctor do her a sweat test and she was then finally diagnosed with CF. It's 10 years since she was diagnosed and she has had a few admissions into hospital, last year (2015) she was in and out of hospital for over 6mths, was a really bad year for her as her lung function dropped to 50%. We hate the dreaded wet cough!! as that means she has grew something and there's mucus around her lungs. Alexandra takes around 200+ tablets a week or more if she's on extra meds. She is doing quite well at the moment as we've not had any admissions this year.
