BiographyMcKenzie was diagnosed with scoliosis in May 2015. As soon as we had the appointment with consultants they did an X-ray and we were told his curve was 49 degrees. That was the Friday and we were booked in to hospital the following Tuesday to have his first cast fitted. Bless him, his life changed over night. He coped quite well really but unfortunately the casts haven't helped and just before Christmas his curve was 68 degrees. We are currently waiting for him to have his growth rods fitted so it's the start of a long journey for him, but it's amazing how these kids cope. He's a 7 year old boy who I totally admire for his courage. My little superhero xxx
