Biography

When Gabriella was born via section she came out coughing and couldn't breath. She ended up being incubated, it took them 5 attempts to get the tube down. She then ended up in Manchester children's hospital NICU and having to go to theater and came back with a trachy to help her breath due to her having very little airway to breath. We was told that that with her having a small jaw and also a cleft pallete that she had peire Robin sequence.

We had a long road ahead of us to get her to feed. She then got moved to Burnley NICU for a few more months before being transferred back to Manchester for further surgery. This time it was for a jaw distraction so it could open her airway to help safely remove her trachy. We were allowed home for the first time when she was 4 months old. We was home for 3 months then Gabriella had to give back to Manchester for further surgery to mend her cleft palette. She was allowed home after 2 days. Just before her first birthday, we travelled back to Manchester to see if she could successfully breath without her trachy and it worked Gab was trachy free. Then Gabriella started showing signs of slouching to one side when we whent to see her consultant he organised a ctrl scan on her spine and we found out she has a curved spine now we are waiting to see what her spinal surgery is going to decide to do.
