Biography

Jack was diagnosed with West Syndrome at 5 months old and at that time the neurologist's priority was to attempt to control his seizures as best they could do after 3 years of failed medication attempts. Jack underwent a right occipital lobectomy (major epilepsy surgery) and for 8 months he was seizure free but just when we started to relax a little the seizures were back and more aggressive than ever before. After another 4 years of failed medication attempts neurosurgeons went back in Jack's brain and removed his temporal lobectomy by craniotomy which was also unfortunately unsuccessful. This is where we are today - uncertain of what's next.
