Biography

Hi, my name is Ellice. I am 4 years old AND have cystic fibrosis. When I was born I was in hospital 2 times & stayed in for 2 weeks, I had poor weight gain & had lots of chest infections. When I was in hospital I had to sleep in an oxygen bed as I had Boncilitis.

I used to poo about 10 times a day, one day when I was on my potty aged 3, my rectum prolapsed & was painful & I got rushed to hospital.

They did tests called a sweat test which confirmed I had CF, which hopefully will mean a cure one day.

I have lots of medicine & vitamins to take daily as well as physio, which is so boring. Also I take Creon to help me digest my food better & help me gain weight.

I go to hospital every 2 months, but more when I am ill. I recently have had a bowel block, so have spent lots of time in hospital drinking horrid medication.

The future is unknown for me, I just have to keep healthy & do lots of exercise & physio, eat a high fat diet & take all my medicine even though there are so many they taste yuk!
