Biography

Jessica was born by emergency 'c' section in May 2010.

I noticed she was constantly hungry and every time she was breast fed she had terrible nappies. She also tasted of salt everytine I kissed her.

At 6 weeks old Jessica had her routine heel prick test. I'll never forget the phone call from the health visitor asking to come and see me to discuss the results.

I knew something was wrong (lets call it mothers intuition) but I didnt know what. My heart was broken having finding out Jessica had Cystic Fibrosis.

We had a meeting at the hospital the next day and to be honest, most of it is a blur as I was devastated. I was terrified of what was going to change with my baby and how I'd handle it.

I did and Jessica doesn't know any different.

Jessics takes 6 different medicines on a morning along with 2 nebulisers and she has enzymes everytime she eats. She also has 3 medicines on a night time and a nebuliser.

We have just spent a month in hospital as Jessica grew a nasty bug that needed IV antibiotics.

Jessica does lots of physio ontop of medicines, nebulizer and normal school hours.
