BiographyMatthew was born full term & showed no signs of disibilities until he was 4 months old, then he started to have more & more seizures. Matthew developed fairly normally reaching some milestones. At the age of 9 months he eventually went into hospital for tests where he had an EEG & we were told Matthew had severe epilepsy. From then Matthew seemed to deteriorate & regress, he now functions at around 3-6 month old level.
Matthew at the age of 2 also developed Steven Johnsons Syndrome due to an anti-epeleptic drug so he is now hypersensitive to alot of drugs.
Matthew still doesn't use his arms for any meaningful purpose, though he loves blankets as he can squeeze them up.
Matthew has had alot of tests, all came back negative. He has recently had another Lumber Puncture & EEG in hoping it may shed some light on his condition.
