BiographyOliver was born at 39 weeks after a healthy pregnancy. During birth it became clear something was wrong.
Oliver was born unresponsive and it took 8 minutes of resusitation before Oliver began to breathe alone. Shortly after, Oliver was diagnosed with a heart condition - Tetralogy of fallots.
6 days after birth while ready to be discharged Oliver took a turn for the worse and was whisked to our local childrens hospital to be prepped for surgery. 2 days later his full diagnoses was confirmed. Tetraology of fallot with absent pulamory valve syndrome. A disconnected left pulmanry artery. Large pfo. Hypoplastic lpa.
Oliver so far has had 3 heart surgeries and will require surgery for life. He has over come feeding issues, speech issues, failure to thrive. He needs surgery for a hernia on his feet and on other issues he has. Oliver struggled with illness and delays for the first 3 years of his life but the last year he has come on leaps and bounds. He is currently awaiting a date for more surgery but is doing well at the moment.
