Biography

I was 32 weeks pregnant when they had found out something was wrong via an ultrasound scan. I was told my baby boy had a rare condition called cystic hygroma - it was a mass from ear to ear and was crushing his wind pipe. On taking his first breath - they told me he wouldnt survive, so we had to have an exit procedure putting us both to sleep and Aidan having to be intubated (tube for safe airway) whilst still attached to me, he was given 20% chance at this point but pulled through.

He had a 7month stay in hospital and surgery at 3 weeks and had a tracheotomy then also, which he still has to this day. His condition has on going treatments and many hospital stays. We're not sure what the future brings but he's a happy little boy and thats what keeps us going.
