All snuggled up wrapped in love, what more could we want. We were so touched when we realised with only a matter of days from us asking to Abbie receiving her quilt that it was still personalised for her. It brought tears of joy and appreciation at a time when tears of sadness are never far away. It means so much to have this invisible army of stitchers show their love to Abbie. In a world that seems cruel at the moment, it reminded us of how much love and kindness there still is. Thank you all.

Biography

Abbie is a wonderfully energetic, cheeky little girl that has the whole world wrapped around her little finger. She doesn't have spoken language but that has never stopped her getting her own way or telling us exactly what she wants. She is the kind of person you can't help but enjoy being around.

She was diagnosed with 1p36 deletion syndrome shortly after birth after failure to thrive and developmental delay. She has battled her way through lung damage, severe reflux, scoliosis and corrective surgery and is now sadly succumbing to end stage heart failure. It would be impossible to put into words the void she will leave in the lives of the people who know her.
