BiographyCody was born in 2011 and was very much planned and wanted, the pregnancy was difficult and nearly ended on a number of occasions. Cody was premature. From day one Cody was a quiet baby and didn't really speak until he was nearly 4. He often used language that no one understood. Cody started school when he was 4 and it was recognised that he was behind the other children. Sadly the school refused to recognise that Cody's difficulties were part of a condition and he was targeted by other children and neglected. He came home covered in bite marks and bruises and in his own faeces. This was extremely traumatic for Cody, he wasn't able to verbalise his difficulties or make sense of what was happening to him, he became withdrawn and his development became delayed. He still remembers the experience and refers to it on occasion. Cody was moved to a new school with an EHCP in place and since then he is flying high. He loves horse riding and spending time with his family. He loves being outside in open spaces and running free. He also loves music and tv programmes. Cody is the family star, he is so loving and funny that everyone who meets him adores him, he is very much loved by his family. He is currently being assessed for autism as well as his other difficulties but it doesn't let it get in his way. Cody knows the song "This is me" from the Greatest Showman and it certainly sums him up perfectly.
