Thank youI can never thank you enough. This quilt is going to go everywhere it can and make amazing memories with our family reminding us of everything we have been through and yet here we stand strong. We have many more tough times ahead of us but to have the ability to show Oliver how strong and brave he is everyday with the love gone into this is amazing. Its truly amazing. THANK YOU to each and every one of you involved in this

BiographyOliver was born what we thought was a healthy little boy. At 9 days old at home he couldn't breathe properly and we rushed to A&E. Tonnes of tests and Drs and 2 days later we were told they found he had a heart condition. Mitral valve stenosis and mitral valve regurgitation as well as coarctation of the aorta.
Oliver had his first open heart at 18 months and an emergency 2nd op to save his life 2 days later. He is now fitted with a metallic valve. He is, however, starting to out grow his valve and is going to be needing more surgery in the near future, how near is uncertain but soon. What the future holds for Oliver I am unsure of as we've nearly lost him twice. He is still to face a minimum of 2 more open heart surgeries.
He battles on every day and for that reason we call him our little Solider.
That's why we have chosen a solider themed quilt.
