Biography

Amber was late and arrived 1 week over her due date, she was born weighing 5lb 11oz so small! Not long after her birth I noticed a rash all over her and she was also very jaundiced. After I flagged this up to the nurses they took her away where she spent 10 days in ICU. Tests were done to try and understand why she had these symptoms. She was diagnosed with congenital CMV. Amber was then diagnosed with a severe learning disability and autism at the age of 5. Since then Amber has been a true fighter, she is non- verbal and requires adult supervision at all times. Amber really has a great sense of humour and is a smiley girl who loves watching people around her. She can also walk which surprised the doctors. She is a big sister to her brother Jaiden and the bond they have is so special.
