Thank you

I would just like to let you know that we received Jake’s love quilt today!
We are all over the moon with it , it is amazing! We are so grateful to everyone who has put time, effort and love into creating this masterpiece for Jake and he is so happy with all the Doctor Who designs! He refused to let me take a photo of him with it but he has put it in his bed and keeps rearranging it so he definitely loves it, just hates having his photo taken.

Thank you so much once again to everyone for all their hard work

Biography

Jake didn’t talk until just after his 4th birthday. He was never social and had frequent emotional meltdowns. He struggled at nursery but was helped with a 1:1 that helped him to communicate. When he started school the difference between him and his peers was more noticeable. He struggled behaviourly and emotionally and was seen by numerous different educational specialists. He was given extra help at school but at home and school his behaviour and hyperactivity were increasingly hard to manage. When he was 9 he was eventually diagnosed with ADHD and put on medication to help him to focus.

Since starting medication Jake has caught up in school and is now thriving at mainstream secondary school with extra support as and when he needs it.

Home life is also more settled now he is on medication and his behaviour is more settled all round.

Jake is a lovely, clever , entertaining boy who has a new found love of Doctor Who and a everlasting love of Star Wars.
