Biography

Lydia is a very active, happy little girl. She was born 8lb 2oz. Lydia has 2 older brothers Leighton and Cameron. Leighton has cystic fibrosis so when Lydia was 6 hours old she had bloods taken to see if she too had the disease. Unfortunately on I had the phone call to say Lydia too had cystic fibrosis. We had a few bumpy months back and forwards to hospital as her bowels were not working at all but eventually we have got it under control with a lot of medication. Lydia suffers with recurrent chest infections which can also land her back in hospital. Lydia takes a lot of medication during the day, she has to have nebulisers and physiotherapy twice a day to move the mucus off her lungs. But none of this fazes Lydia she is always smiling and her little personality has everyone wrapped around her little fingers.
Lydia has a battle in front of her just to breath everyday and we know only too well from her brother the fight she has on her hands, but she is already showing us how resilient she is.
