Biography

Freya was a happy go lucky toddler until 18 months old when she became increasingly ill. Initially she was waking at night followed by vomiting. The vomiting increased in frequency and she become more lethargic, having longer and longer naps in the day. She would lose her balance and stumble and her head was, on occasion, slightly tilted to one side.
These we now know are the key signs of a paediatric brain tumour. An MRI scan confirmed the presence of a tumour. She had emergency brain surgery followed by treatment.
