Thank you

I can not describe how amazing the quilt has turned out. It’s stunning. Thank you so much to everyone that did squares and to Jan Schillo who sent me the pattern for my Stitch square. Chloe had seen the squares I did because we spent so much time in hospital in December and I couldn’t keep them hidden but she had no idea what they were for.

Biography

In August 2016 Chloe became very sick. She lost weight, was lethargic and couldn't stop vomiting. We took her to the doctors and were told she was Type 1 diabetic.
Even though her life was tipped upside down she is always so positive and brave. Chloe cannot eat anything without checking her blood sugar levels and injecting insulin either through a pump or with a needle.
Type 1 Diabetes is so unpredictable that nearly anything can affect her blood sugar levels from the food she eats, to the weather, to different types of sport or to her coming down with an illness. It's a constant balancing act keeping her blood sugar levels stable.
In the last 6 months Chloe has had a dozen visits to hospital including a trip in an ambulance because she had a seizure. Most of the stays end up in HDU yet she never complains and I know most of the nurses have a soft spot for her.
