Biography

Loraya is 12 months old and was born a month early and has a heart condition called tetralogy of fallot (4 things wrong with the heart). She also has a double outlet right ventricle and an asd.
She’s what they call double tof as she was born with tracheo-oesophogeal fistula and oesophogeal atresia (tof/oa). She has severe tracheomalacia and vocal cord palsy.
She was also born with exomphalos, is totally tube fed, has severe reflux (gord), development delay and cow milk allergy.
She currently requires a CPap machine to help keep her airways open and is currently a long term hospital patient having only spent 2 weeks at home, although now she has day leave when well.
Loraya has had such a fight on her hands since the day she was born. She has overcome sepsis, pneumonia multiple times, chest infections and cardiac arrests. She's had 2 major surgeries, one at 2 days old to fix the tof/oa, and open heart at 3 months to insert a shunt, then she needed to have a cath in April. She’s still got more surgery to come on her heart and is having a peg fitted soon.
