Biography

Addison failed to thrive when born, she lost weight and cried constantly. We spent the first two weeks of her life before diagnosis in and out of hospital without any answers. She was diagnosed at two weeks old and started medication and physiotherapy immediately after we met her CF team. She had problems with her bowel which meant we spent a lot of time in hospital during the first year of her life which resulted in an operation at Alder Hey.

She is now 7 years old and takes medication daily, at least 40 tablets per day. She needs to have tablets every time she eats or drinks anything containing fat. Addi also has physiotherapy several times a day and is on nebulisers three times a day to keep bugs in her lungs under control. She attends hospital monthly to keep things under control and to manage her condition as well as IVs in hospital when needed.
