Biography

Grace was born in September 2018 and spent 6 weeks in the neonatal unit. After a week of being home she was admitted to the children’s ward with low oxygen sats. Within a few hours she was critically ill and ventilated and was sent to a specialist hospital. She had to have several blood transfusions and two courses of steroids. She had rsv, bronchitis and then later had flu. She spent nearly 4 months in hospital including her first Christmas and came home on oxygen and an ng tube. She had severe reflux so went back into hospital in July 2018 to have a peg operation which has helped her reflux massively and she's started gaining weight well. She has just started eating orally again, little bits at a time and she’s spent her first Christmas at home with her older brother.
