BiographyBlake is a very happy 12 year old but from birth has endured a lot.
Born at 37.5 weeks Blake spent 10 days in neonatal care with pneumonia. Blake went on to have 19 episodes of pneumonia by the age of 16 months when we learnt he will never eat or drink orally again.
Blake has since been tube fed.
He had open heart surgery almost 3 yrs ago.
From May 2019 Blake has been in hospital and still is. His gut and bowel will not tolerate food. We have had to move to TPN feeding. Blake remains very upbeat although he does get frustrated being attached to machines 16 hrs a day
