BiographyAimee was a low birthweight and had issues with feeding from birth. At 6 weeks old she was admitted to hospital with severe vomiting where she was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis and severe gastro oesophageal reflux. She was in and out of hospital for the first year of her life both as an inpatient and outpatient. After seeing a geneticist in the July, tests were carried out and in the September she was diagnosed as having Williams Syndrome.
At age 3 Aimee began having issues with a rectal prolapse. This took 6 surgical procedures to repair. Aimee has also undergone surgical procedures for clearing her tear ducts and a cardiac catheter. Other issues that Aimee struggles with are hyperacussis with some hearing loss and tinnitus, hyper mobile joints, asthma, anxiety and learning disabilities.
Aimee is currently in her last year at school and will be starting at college in September which she is very excited about yet also rather nervous and anxious over.
