Biography

Myah-Leigh is the happiest little girl you will ever meet. My sister had a perfect pregnancy with her and Myah was born with no complications. It wasn't until she was around two years old we were noticing things were different with her. She had a really large forehead and wasn't doing things most 2 year olds were supposed to do. She wasn't even crawling around.

The health visitors got involved and agreed things just weren't right and Myah wasn't progressing the way she should and with the large forehead also we were sent to RVI (Royal Victoria infirmary) at Newcastle for an MRI. It was discovered the front of Myah's brain hadn't developed properly, a condition called lissencephaly.

Myah was non verbal till around the age of 4 then she couldn't string sentences together; it was just one or two words here or there. She has now developed epilepsy because of it. But yet you look at her or say hello to her and she just beams that beautiful smile of hers.
