Biography

Sophie was born on time and was diagnosed with skeletal dysplasia.
She was small at birth and it was clear she had scoliosis, her chest and back were very deformed.
In hospital at Southampton she had a tracheostomy and was ventilated in the day.
Recently Sophie uses the ventilator only in the night when she sleeps. Because she had problems with apnoea at night she has special settings on the ventilator to help her breathing.
Sophie is 9 and is a small and happy girl.
She feels happy with her family and we love her very much.
