Theme details

Thomas the Tank Engine and Toy Story - Thomas is his favourite, so as many Thomas and Friends as we can manage with Toy Story to supplement. Toy Story characters from the FIRST Toy Story film only please so Woody, Buzz, Hamm, Slinky, Potato Head, Rex, Aliens (but not Jessie, Mrs Potato Head, Bullseye, Forky etc) from the sequels. :)

Thomas on the label if possible due to his name.

Child Interests

Thomas loves the outdoors especially being amongst trees so we do lots of woodland walks. He likes going for drives in the car where he loves to watch the traffic. He loves trains so sometimes we will just sit at the station watching them go by.
His favourite things are bubbles, Thomas the Tank Engine and Toy Story. Thomas does not show a preference for a favourite colour but looking around I would say blue seems to be our choice.
When asked to chose between a toy or a book Thomas will most likely pick story books, and at the moment that is mostly Thomas the Tank Engine books.

Biography

Thomas was born unresponsive at birth requiring to be resuscitated for 10 mins. He had 72 hours cooling therapy. MRI scan showed extensive damage to his basal ganglia and cerebellum. He has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy.
He is unable to support himself in sitting or standing and is tube fed. He is a happy little boy who is now learning to roll on the floor and although non-verbal he communicates using his eyes.
He has started nursery where he has 1:1 support and enjoys the company of all his classmates.
Thomas loves television, he recently started enjoying Thomas the Tank Engine and his favourite film is Toy Story. He loves to be read stories and likes to turn the pages. Thomas’s most favourite thing is bubbles and would have us blow them all day.
