BiographyLevi was diagnosed with ALL when he was just 7 weeks old. It took a couple of weeks to push for an answer due to me being told he had bronchiolitis on 2 occasions. Mother's instinct was telling me it was more than a cold and I’m so glad I carried on searching for answers! Levi's breathing was very prominent, his tummy was distended, his skin was yellow and he had purple spots located on his chest and abdomen. As soon as bloods were taken this showed a massive increase in white cells.

Since diagnosis Levi has had a tough journey. At the very start of his journey he was ventilated for 12 days. Levi started chemo as soon as his Hickman line was placed, however, in May he relapsed as a small blast was located in the bone marrow. Levi then went on to start immunotherapy, after 6 weeks of this working he had an unexpected relapse in July. After his second relapse we were told that Levi could have a BMT (bone marrow transplant). This took place September but unfortunately in November they detected another blast of leukaemia in the bone marrow.
Levi is now eligible for Car T therapy and we are waiting for his cells to return from America after genetic modification. Until we receive the cells he will be on chemo to suppress the leukaemia. We have every hope that this treatment will work. Despite fighting cancer now for the 4th time and being diagnosed at such a young age he’s such a happy 14 month old. It’s as though he’s not fighting at all!
