I have never in my life seen anything as beautiful as Jojo's quilt that came today. He will never be able to comprehend the work that has gone into it, but I certainly can. Before his first of many surgeries, I asked him if he'd like to do anything and he said he wanted to save the ocean and so far he's raised nearly £1500 for an ocean charity. The ocean is his absolute love. This will go with him during his next surgery, I am in absolute awe of your talents, kindness and generosity. Thank you so, so much xxx

Biography

Jojo was born with gastroschisis where his bowels were on the outside of his body. He had that corrected and after a short stay in hospital he went into foster care. We adopted him at 10 months old and he's been an absolute joy.

He was still having bowel problems and so it was decided that at 6 years old he would have a colostomy bag. Unfortunately, Jojo's body decided to put the surgeons through their paces and, after a few surgeries, it was decided that his large bowel would be removed and he now has an ileostomy and gastrostomy peg.

Jojo can't read or write yet, but his love of the ocean is huge. Before his surgery I asked if there was anything he'd like to do and he asked to save the oceans. We found an ocean charity and he has raised almost £1500 for them. He is the most amazing little boy ever and, even though he's been through a really tough time, he still puts the environment and his beloved oceans first.
